The Moore House Garden enables visitors to see what Florida pioneers would grow for their family. Starting in September you will find tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, cabbage and mustard and peas. Transitioning to Spring finds okra, eggplant, squash, tomatoes and beans in the garden. During the summer hot months we plant a cover crop that is turned back into the soil for enrichment. Pioneers also planted medicinals in the garden, you will see yarrow, aloe and periwinkle around our garden. A group of volunteers keeps the garden growing. Come and join us.
